It appears to be lacquer paint and is shrinking in a few spots. The body is very solid. The underside is very nice, with no undercoating. The underside has been painted at some point. The chrome is solid and the plating is still in good condition. The stainless and other bright work shows well. The interior is very nice. It appears to be correct styling for the era.
